- PARUNG KUDA - CIKANIKI - GUNUNG HALIMUN GUEST HOUSE
Pick up from your school
in Jakarta and take an about 3 hours scenic drive up to the eastern entrance of
Gunung Halimun National Park. En route passing through small villages and the
beautiful landscape of plantations. Stops at Cipeuteu to change the transportation
for a local chartered vehicle (non air-conditioned) and continue to the Gunung
Halimun National Park Office at Kabandungan Village to register. From Kabandungan
take another 2 hours drive to the Guest House at Citalahab. Arrive at cikaniki,
the tour continue to Citalahab on foot through the rain forest and the plantation
downhill to the guesthouse. Rest for a while after lunch. In the evening enjoy
a dinner around the campfire and stay overnight at a simple - comfortable guesthouse
owned and operated by the local community (L,D).
DAY 2: EXPLORE GUNUNG HALIMUN
PARK
After an early breakfast trekking through the primary rain to enjoy the
natural beauties and the flora and fauna. There will be a canopy trail to pass
trough where you could be very close to the top of the trees. The call of the
Javan Gibbon in the mist of the forest will add to uniqueness of this tour. There
is also possibility of seeing other primates, such as the grizzled leaf-monkey,
ebony leaf-monkey, and number of bird species such as barbets, fan-tailed birds,
etc. Lunch box provided. Continue trekking to Walet Waterfall through forest and
villages where you can swim and enjoy the natures and fresh atmosphere surroundings
with lunch box provided. Afternoon return to the Guest House for your accommodation.
Free evening program after dinner (B,L,D).
DAY 3: GUNUNG HALIMUN - JAKARTA
Pay a visit to the nearby tea plantation, morning teawalk program to Nirmala tea
plantation, one of the oldest tea plantation in our country, about 1.000 meter
above sea level. Here, you could see the workers plucking the young sprout in
the morning and also see the tea processing in the small tea factory. Return to
our guest house for our departure preparation. Back to Jakarta. SERVICE END. (B).
