LOKSADO TREKKING
& BAMBOO RAFTINGDAY 01 : Banjarmasin -
Kandangan - Muara Tanuhi - Haruyan Dalam
Leaving Banjarmasin after breakfast.
Stop en-route if you find something interesting. Lunch at local restaurant in
Kandangan. The road after Kandangan will be up and down and winding in the area
of Meratus Mountain range until you get to Muara Tanuhi where you will start trekking.
You will trek through the bamboo forest and plantation on the paths by side of
Amandid River. Your destination is Haruyan Dalam Village, a village inhabited
by Dayak Meratus people. You will stay for overnight at a communal house here.

DAY 02 : Haruyan Dayak - Balai Kepayang
The trek is continued
to Balai Kepayang. The trek is still passing through local people plantation.
When arrival Balai Kepayang you keep your stuff at a communal house then you do
an excursion to the primary forest nearby. Stay for overnight at communal house.

DAY 03 : Balai Kepayang - Malaris - Loksado - Muara Hatib
You will start trekking after breakfast to Malaris then continue to Loksado. While
having tea or coffee at local stall you can do an excursion in Loksado. By village
transportation heading for Muara Hatib. You stay at a cottage situated by side
of Amandit River. It is possible to swim on the river.(BLD)
DAY 04 : Muara
Hatib - Bubuih - Kandangan - Banjarmasin
By two bamboo-raftings you will
wade through Amandit River. In some parts the water could be very shallow due
to the dry season but there are still parts with rapids. Wrap your camera and
other valuable within plastic back. Hope you can see Long-tailed monkey (Macaca
fascicularis) and some birds such as kingfisher (Stork-billed Kingfisher, White-collared
Kingfisher, Blue-eared Kingfisher and, Blue-banded Kingfisher), sunbirds, bulbuls
and eagles (Brahminy Kite and Black Eagle). This bamboo rafting will take about
3 hours until you get to Bubuih from where you have to walk for 20 minutes to
the main road to get car to Kandangan. From Kandangan by car to Banjarmasin.(BLD)
DAY 05 : Banjarmasin - Floating Market - Airport
Early morning to
the Floating market on the Barito River. You can also go to a place not far from
the floating market where people make traditional wooden boat. Back to Banjarmasin,
transfer directly to the airport for your next destination. For
